You can choose whether to select the Optima or Basic rate, let’s see what the differences are.

OPTIMA: you can change for free, only once, up to 48 hours before departure, the reservation (only date and time). You can also cancel the reservation.

BASIC: you can change time or date of the reservation up to 48 hours before the trip, paying a penalty of € 10 per adult and € 5.50 per child. The reservation cannot be canceled.

You will be able to board any of the Formentera Lines and Trasmapi ferries without having to queue at the ticket office (you will have to check in online before departure, as with airline flights).

Cost of the Ibiza – Formentera ferry

As we have seen previously, there are 2 tariffs: Basic and Optima. By selecting the Basic rate, the discounted return price will be around € 39 per adult person. People between the ages of 13 and 59 are considered adults.
The cost of a return ticket for people over the age of 60 (senior) and for children between the ages of 5 and 12 will be € 19.80. Free for children up to 4 years of age. The “large family discount” is only applicable to Spanish families.

Schedule of the Ibiza – Formentera ferry

Regarding the ferry schedules from Ibiza to Formentera, the connections between the two neighboring islands are quite frequent, especially in high season where practically every 30 minutes a ferry leaves. How to get to Ibiza port from the airport

To get to the port of Ibiza, once at the airport, is very simple. First of all, the distance is quite small, in fact it is about 10 km. The options are 3, let’s see them in detail.

• Taxi: in our opinion taking a taxi is the most convenient solution and in some cases, even the cheapest, if you are in 5 and you get a big one. On average the price is around 18 euros, depending on traffic, and the duration is less than 15 minutes. The only problem, especially in high season, can be the queue.
• Bus: an alternative solution, chosen above all by travelers who are not in a hurry and who also want to see the centre of Ibiza. The bus you need to take is No. 10 and the price is € 3.60 per person, but the duration compared to the taxi is clearly higher, even more than 40 minutes. The ticket is made on the bus directly by the driver of the vehicle.
• Transfer service: Formentera Lines provides a transfer service for all those who do not want one of the first 2 options. The price per round trip is € 18 per person and can be selected during the purchase of ferry tickets.
